Absolutely, she would. We’re still at that stage in the story where the reader is naive. I decided to take my time flushing out the plot this time, so the good stuff will come a little later.

And it’ll be fast when it does!

The reader started working for Levi because she confronted him in his office and he had to come up with that excuse. But what if she didn't go to meet him or confront him? Would he still have offered her to work for him, or would he have used a different method to possess her? How did it go in the og wpbo?

In the OG story, this didn’t happen at all. In fact, I’d say there was more of a forced undertone, wherein he was just using physical tactics to procure reader. This time around, there’s a lot of manipulation woven into the storyline, which I think is more fitting for a yandere Levi that wants to ingrain control instead of outright steal it. Later, we’ll see some of the aggression that appeared in the original, but the need hasn’t risen yet.

As for if he still would’ve asked reader to work for him, yeah; that was always part of my plan in this remake.

I always wondered why you called jean a himbo in robw but now I see it. Like, what is he trying to achieve by going against Levi? Levi isn't gonna go "oh shit my bad bro" even if confronted with proof. He'd make working with his superior extremely awkward at least (doubt it's gonna stop at the least) and earn himself a target on his back

Yes it’s because he does shit like in this most recent chapter! Truly a sap. A hopeless romantic. A white knight, if you will. He understood the assignment as soon as Eren was like “weird that (f/n) would do the most for no reason”, and the assignment is to insert himself where he doesn’t belong to get the girl :)

It’s a little endearing, in a way, but Levi’s dom energy makes it no competition

as someone who's unseasonably sensitive I can't imagine being as tough as the reader against levis comments and behavior 😭 im just asking out of curiosity, but do you think levi would be much more harsh with a softer reader? I imagine he'd want to "reshape" her to be more tolerant of him

Hey! I love writing RoBW so much. The horror elements for me are just 😌 I’m glad you like what I have so far, too.

The reader kind of is soft already, I think? Like, not in the beginning, but the moment she agrees to help Levi with his “‘mission”. She goes from spicy to compliant very fast under his dominance.

She thinks there’s a good reason for his insane fucking behaviour because he’s so matter-of-fact and serious about his job. And like, he is serious about his job; not as serious as he is about the reader, though. She suspects nothing crooked, and that’s why she’s so easily manipulated. Maybe a part of her knows that something’s funny, but with literally no one to confide in, with her being cut off from her friends, she’s left vulnerable to Levi’s influence. Armin was so real for telling Jean that she’s a sitting duck because she totally is.

Is Levi a virgin in this au? I don't think he is, so the whole "soulmates waiting" thing is so hypocritical of him 😂 But we can't really expect a Yandere to be that rational, can we 💀

I didn't think Grisha was actually a Titan. I was thinking that Levi lied to her so that he'd have an excuse to keep meeting her and keep her under his grasp. I didn't think he'd actually give her a dangerous task because he wants to keep her out of harms way, but oops—

Grisha is definitely an affiliate and a total piece of shit. For Levi’s military mission, he has a sheet with a list of suspects residing in Shiganshina. His job is to clear them from being related to the Titans, or confirm their tyranny. Grisha fucked up by trusting the reader while knowing damn well Levi had his claws in her.

As for Levi, he actually really believes in the reader. He thinks she’s quite strong and persévèrent. Mind you, these are traits he’s going to crush later because he thrives on being the protector. So, he sent her on a mission that he thought was pretty safe, with confidence that his boo would make it through.
