so i definitely do not think the relationship is completely over or unredeemable. i definitely think it’s something that it feels more so tyla will have to work on than rihanna, but it feels like tyla’s probably the kiss-ass type or will take the long way, or the long road, to building a relationship with rihanna. something about rihanna not really liking a one-hit wonder vibe, i guess, because tyla’s career was so fast-growing. it can lean towards rihanna kind of just wanting to see her longevity before she, quote unquote, gives her blessing, is the vibe i’m getting here. and tyla just has to let go of the need to kiss ass a bit lol. i don’t feel like rihanna likes that, so she’s going to have to really let go of it. and i think there may be a few allegations of tyla not being easy to work with after this, but she just has to work on building relationships with people in the industry.
so rihanna here is very on her throne. she knows her impact. she knows that even tyla wants to kiss up to her, is what it feels like, and is a leader and a visionary in her field, obviously. she has a very big aura, which i think can be intimidating, and really is prideful in where she comes from, her artistry, her creativity, and the stable foundations that she has built. and it’s kind of a cycle, of course, of passing on the crown, and i don’t think she believes she has somebody to pass the crown on to in terms of the musical history that she has left behind. it made me feel like rihanna views tyla as a fraud, and this is a repeat cycle of her trying to pass the crown and it not working out, or them falling off, getting canceled, or flopping, or something of that nature. so it’s her waiting for tyla to change, with only time being able to tell.
i don’t necessarily think that she dislikes her, more so that she just needs to step away from the situation. and again, the idea of tyla having to show who she is to rihanna for her to be willing to pass on that crown. there’s some form of imposter syndrome toward tyla, like she’s not who she says she is, or that there’s some aspect of her rihanna has learned about that feels deceitful, like she’s doing things just to obtain that role or relationship with rihanna. again, i don’t feel like rihanna likes fake people at all.
and tyla here, i definitely feel like she probably could have overanalyzed the situation, especially with her coming online. i definitely feel like she fed into gossiping or the spreading of rumors, again, coming off as sarcastic and rude, is what it feels like. and just feeling like she’s competing with others to be the apple of rihanna’s eye. and there is some level of ego here from tyla as well. of course, she feels that she should be the only person in rihanna’s eye, and so if she gives up her ego, rihanna’s probably not going to budge because rihanna also has an ego.
i feel tyla is a bit more trying to find the pleasures in life right now that too focused on her legacy or the long term? just vibing lol. i definitely feel like there was some form of fulfillment when tyla met rihanna, maybe feeling like her dreams came true, but then those dreams had to be grounded in reality. like, you cannot walk around with a big head thinking that anybody owes you anything, and you really have to put in the work for the career that you want and to establish the relationships that you want. so i think the core conflict kind of comes around that longevity and who are you going to be in 10 years? are you going to be a mark in history like you want to be, or is the rise of fame getting to your head?
