"What is that thing"
Link barely even blinked, feeling Revali's presence had become common by now, the spirit following him wherever he went.
"I call it a rockwing" He stated, barely turning his head in Revali's direction "I use it to help me travel."
The spirit leaned down over his shoulder, staring- not quite with curiosity- down at the object at Link's feet.
"What do you mean use it to travel? It's just a rock."
"No." Link stressed "A rockwing. Not just a rock."
"Okay fine. A rockwing. I don't see how that makes any difference." Revali huffed, stepping away.
"Well don't you see, the wings?"
"Sure, I suppose it might appear to be vaguely wing shaped. But not anywhere near close to the splendor of the wings of a true rito." Revali preened, turning back around. "Our flight is a skill unique to- HOLY SHIT"
The rock was in the air. The rock was in the air.
"HOW IS IT DOING THAT"
Link simply let out a giggle.
"You look really funny with your feathers all poofed up like that."
"What? My feathers are not- that's entirely beside the point" (Revali's feathers did not puff up they did not-) "HOW is that PIECE OF STONE possibly FLOATING"
Link just shrugged.
"I don't know. Magic probably. Why are you so surprised anyway? Medoh was also made of stone and it could fly just fine."
Revali did not puff up again. "MEDOH IS NOT A ROCK, SHE IS A DIVINE BEAST. A TECHNOLOGICAL WONDER CREATED FOR USE BY A TRUE CHAMPION. THAT-" He didn't skwak, the pride of the rito would never "IS A PEBBLE. THAT FLOATS."
Link just laughed again.
"Right. Sure. Entirely different. Still don't get why you have such a problem with it though"
"Because it's a FREAK OF NATURE THAT'S WHY"
"No, no I don't think that's why you're so upset with it." Link's face broke out into a smirk. "You don't have to keep up the act, I know why it upsets you so much."
Revali huffed. "Right. Enlighten me then. Why else, could I possibly, be ENTIRELY BOTHERED, BY A LEVITATING ROCK."
Somehow, Link's smirk grew.
"Because now I have a way to make it up to that divine beast on my own"
"Why you little- GET BACK HERE"
Link just laughed, he and his rockwing gliding off to explore yet another floating island. The floofed up skwaking rito could follow once he calmed down.
