Random ask time! Who's your current favorite character you've been thinking about a lot recently! And what do you think it is that makes you connect with them?

My favourite character will always remain the same and it's Rocky Balboa from the 1976 film Rocky.

And funnily enough, I've been thinking about him a lot since I started therapy. This character got me through some really shitty times when I was growing up and even now. It's that movie I can always go back to, the one that always cheers me up.

Rocky is someone who grew up lower working class, like myself, who made it. And I'm not talking about the fame and success of professional boxing, boxing is not the point of the movie or the franchise. No, it's about overcoming insecurities and securing your own self respect.

It's about persevering and going after what makes you happy.

That's what I want, and I think this movie taught me that better than anyone ever has.

The behind the scenes of getting the movie made is a story of perseverence too, and equally inspiring.
