The demon stared a moment, the smile slipping off his face, then put himself to rights and sighed. “You could pretend to be afraid.””

Just an FYI, I used a square brush with a feathered edge for my painting on this, except for the sections where I mention ‘soft brushes’: for those I used a soft round brush instead.
