ROF-MAO announcement video 5/26/26

I happened to see this within the first two hours it was posted and it is pretty big news... The auto-translated captions do a decent job, but still make some significant mistakes, so here is a short summary:

Kenmochi is leaving ROF-MAO after May 28, 2026. It sounds like the commitment as a member of ROF-MAO was limiting what else he could do, and after a long discussion that has been ongoing since last year, everyone agreed that this was for the best.

The group will do one final livestream with all four members on May 28 to send him off. Afterwards, ROF-MAO will take a break. Kagami, Kaida, and Fuwa intend to resume ROF-MAO group activities in the future.

This decision will not affect their individual activities. Kenmochi will still be making content as a Nijisanji Liver, and so will the other three. Please continue to support them all going forward.

the niji jp tumblr experience is like there are like ten of us who all semi-actively post/reblog our own niche little part of the fanbase. Like that person over their likes chronoir, this one likes mochi in paticular, but that one likes all of rof mao, this one a rare one they like sanbaka, etc. 

and everytime we discover one person we all go :0 before another one of us fades away into the scenario i like to call “kenmochi’s void” because they were posting just fine but are now gone.

everytime i see a jp fan i just go “WHAAOO” like an idiot but hey that’s one more to the group (I wish to pit you all in a stimulated hunger games to show my love for your silly little posts pop off kings/queen)

I made my own can badges... button badges, button pins, whatever you call them. The new VΔLZ logo went up while I wasn't paying attention and I love the design! So glad I didn't end up carving a simple triangle for them, haha.

One of my fav thing about Niji JP tumblr is just the niche and variety of fans that’s on here. I only know one Ibrahim fan and it’s on tumblr. There’s a yashiro fan on here. I seen a Sanbaka fan. A chima fan. A MUGI fan. AN ICHIGO FAN.

And it’s even hard to find more popular liver fans also like there’s so few Valz fan and every mochi fan here has a rarer side pair than that of just rofmao.

And that’s great because it makes the niji fan base feels so Niji outside of Nowa and RofMao. That’s not to say those groups are bad it just feel colorful in a way. Seeing the diversity is so refreshing and I wish I can see it more everywhere else.
