Hey, I’m Kae, I’ve been roleplaying for over ten years now, and have been writing for even longer than that. Over the years, I have learned a lot about my “trade” and have developed a strong and personal connection with the activity, my characters, and most of all, those roleplay with. Suffice is to say, I have a very close relationship with my current group of friends. We don’t just roleplay, but, it is how we all met, and remains the thread which adds so much flourish and energy to our lives together. With how supportive and loving we all are with each other, I always want to make an effort to invite others into our circle, but most of the time it seems this simply doesn’t work well. However, I am determined, and am not ready to give up on spreading the magic that is our little community.
Thus, I introduce to you, The Roleplay Elite; a specialized competition of sorts, in which I will be accepting applicants to try out for a place in our group. In this competition, there will no single winner, nor may there be a winner at all. The process of this game is to act as a sort of trial in order for me to get a feel for you, your style of roleplay, and the types of characters you tend to make. In this trial, I will invite four to six applicants to join me in a Discord server, where we will spend the next few months roleplaying one on one and in groups using various topics and characters. In this trial period, I will be taking a look at not just your ability to roleplay cohesively, and to my personal─and the group’s─preferences, but also at your individual personalities out of character and in casual chat. I don’t view my roleplay partners as simply that, and prefer to use roleplay as a foundation to make new friends who, hopefully may last for life. With one of my friends having been with me for eight or more years at this point, I feel that there is something strong in the connections I build, and I want to share that with whoever is willing to make the effort to meet me halfway. With this said, please keep in mind that simply having proper grammar and syntax, as well as fleshed out characters, strong world-building, and an ability to post at least every other day will not be the only basis for which I judge you. I will also be looking for how well you behave as a person, and simply how you interact with a group of individuals who all have their own likes, dislikes, discomforts, and personal issues. In my groups, we care about each other more than we do about the actual roleplay, and we always make sure everyone in the group is happy and healthy.

Trial will begin Friday, November 2nd, 8th 2018 at 8:30 PM PDT [20.30 -7 GMT]. All are welcome to apply, no matter where you may be in the world, time zones are really not a problem as I’m typically online 24/7 as it is, however, a fair understanding of English is appreciated.
Rules
Must be 17 or older to apply; exceptions may be made, but this is simply for legal purposes, as my group tends to get a bit raunchy at times.
Those against LGBTQAI+ need not apply; sorry, I’d rather not deal with that drama and we are 1000% LGBT members.
Political activists also need not apply; again, just don’t want the drama. If you can keep it to yourself, be my guest, but if you’re going to be in the out of character chat talking about Trump and whatever else, then please simply move on.
Grammar and spelling are key. Please be sure that you remember capitalization in your writing.
Narrative, paragraph format in third person point of view, past tense only; This is a very strong preference of all members of my group. Asterisk roleplay used anywhere but in casual chat will not be accepted.
No X-rated or heavily sexualized characters, plots, or other content, please; I prefer to focus more on character relations and connections, as well as the actual plot of the roleplay.
Plot is also key, I rarely go into a roleplay blind, preferring to have at least a general idea of where the story is going, and what the basic world may be.

Example Starter Post: Write up an example of how you might start a general roleplay with any original character, plot, and theme of your choice. Please have at least five to seven sentences creating a full paragraph. Try to set a scene and provide subtle exposition for the world and story you are attempting to build.

Hi! I’m looking for someone to play Tony with my female OC. Here’s some info:
My OC is the type I think everyone would expect Tony to date. She'd be like his sugar baby-- except not care about money at all and actually really love him and care for him despite her sugar baby exterior. She's 19, and I wrote her inspired off of femme fatales from old movies. She's always in a nice skirt and red lipstick. I can see her walking with Tony in her high heels and sunglasses while everyone takes photos. I can also see her really wanting to be vulnerable with him and also wanting to take care of him. She's similar in the way she kind of puts up a front, and she also buries herself in school and work to avoid things. Let me know if this makes sense/sounds interesting at all lol. I'm always up for any ideas you have too!
