What is Rolling Admission?
What is Rolling Admission? Hint: There are colleges still accepting applications for the Fall!
Are you still looking for colleges to attend in the fall? Maybe you applied to colleges already, but are having second thoughts? Or, maybe you’ve heard back from some and were not admitted? Just remembered that Pitt does rolling admissions.
I could have an acceptance letter before my birthday in September.
That would be such a relief. Here's to realizing it's nearly August and being okay about that.
So many people are getting admitted into ubc now.. like over the past few days. Is this based on early acceptance? from the grades reported in december? or is this based on self reported grade 12 courses?
Errr, I’m not sure, I don’t work for admissions so I don’t know where they are at right now in terms of applications. But I assume maybe a combination of both? I know self-reporting started a few days ago, so many students may be admitted based on those grades instead of their grade 11 grades. But they still have to read over everyone’s Personal Profiles, so they may still be working with the December applications.
UBC uses a “Rolling Admissions” system, you can read about it here:

What does it mean to me if I choose early action on the common app?
Hello! Thank you for your question. Early Action (EA) is an application procedure where you can be notified of your admission decision status earlier, but it's not a binding commitment like Early Decision (ED). But, UK does not offer EA or ED decisions. We notify students on a rolling basis and our priority application deadline is February 15, 2013.
