where: tonopah valley laundromat who: @roman-han & sammy decker
If there was one thing that Sammy Decker hated to do, it was ask people for favors --not simply people, though, but his family in particular. Incredibly determined to maintain his self-sufficient nature and not be seen as a mooch, he found himself at the local laundromat that day after his shit the bed. Another reason why he needed to escape apartment living; he was constantly at the mercy of the complex's maintenance crew who, more often than not, dragged their feet when it came to repairs. So, safe to say he wasn't in the greatest mood to begin with.
After popping his laundry into the dryer, Sammy decided to take the next hour to hop on over to the gym, figuring his load would be done by the time he finished his workout. However, upon his return, he realized that all of his clothes had been placed back on top of the machine he'd originally been using -- still sopping wet. "Son of a fuckin' bitch." Sammy griped, eyes darting around the building to see if he'd someone be able to find the little fucking dryer thief, as if he'd be able to clock them with a single look. Instead, his eyes landed on a dark haired male a few units down from him -- a very good looking one at that -- and asked him, "you didn't happen to see any bastards with a death wish movin' shit out of this machine, did you?"

where: rooftop of ocean crest, ravi’s birthday
"Hollywood! You're here!" Ravi's excitement made it sound like he personally invited Roman rather than his sister firing off a mass invite to most of his Instagram mutuals but the hows and the who's of it didn't matter when he got to spend another sliver of his birthday with another person he cared about.
( The perfect way to. )
"Don't tell anyone--" He pleads with him as he leans in so he can lower his voice to just above a whisper, sharing a secret that shared itself if he was observed for longer than a minute, "--But I am wasted."
“So... do I still have a job?” Customer service is not exactly Maven’s favorite thing, but in the end, she feels useless without something to do. And if she was to be a witch again, she would need some livelihood to do it — if that is even still in the cards anymore. It was on the table the last time she had spoken with the witch, though, and for now, Maven intends to act like it still is. “I know I ghosted as a new hire, but that wasn’t really my fault.” Who could blame her for her sudden death, after all? It’s not like she asked for the veil to fall just to get out of serving shitty customers. ( @romxnambrose )
morning star.
@father-roman
Dani often took pleasure in the thrill of spontaneity, but they also enjoyed a good bit of routine when it came to the more relaxed hours of the day. 'Mornings' had always been particularly predictable for the young Savin. When they first dragged themself out of bed, whether that be at twilight, noon, or actual morning, they had to first splash some water on their face and brush their teeth before anything else. Then they would stumble downstairs into the kitchen to make themself a cup of tea or coffee regardless of whatever ridiculous mess their slumber had left their curls arrayed in, never more elaborately dressed than donning a pair of boxers and an oversized t-shirt.
This awakening was no different. Dani rolled out of bed with the setting sun and begrudgingly followed through the steps in their routine. They were altered only by the snatch of a well-thumbed journal and a pair of simple, black-framed glasses from their bedside. The house was quiet in the early evenings. Fane was usually out and about doing something, the progeny also drew up habitual night plans, and Dani, on their off days, was thus often left on their lonesome. They didn't mind the quiet, but the cavernous bowels of the estate did feel a few degrees colder when their bare feet padded noiselessly across the empty floors.
Once they had a freshly brewed cup of Earl Grey in hand and their glasses were affixed upon the bridge of their nose, Dani was able to lean back against the counter and flip through their journal with their otherwise unoccupied hand. The journal had been a Christmas gift from their best friend now lover and its beloved pages hadn't gone to waste. Each available space was cluttered by scribbles of notes, rough diagrams, and crudely drawn sketches of all their recent findings and curiosities, many of them local and relevant to a number of their personal cases as of late. Soapberry Springs seemed to bleed trouble no matter how much care and attention its residents put into it. If you called the town home, it would claim you as its victim in time-- and what's more, the Springs had a certain way of recycling old mysteries, which Dani was on the verge of discovering.
The sound of approaching feet alerted vampire's daughter to the presence of another. The gait of the step indicated well enough that it was a man, so automatically they assumed it was their father come home early. Ryan would have had a quicker step and undoubtedly there would have been additional noise along with it, some groaning or excited chatter or the like. However, they didn't look up from their reading to check just yet. They had a line to finish first. "Tată? Ești acasă devreme. Este totul în regulă cu expo--" Dani's rapid deliverance of Romanian was abruptly cut off when their eyes finally ventured above the rim of their frames. The glasses themselves had slipped down to the middle of their nose and left their amber hues blinking in surprise at the unfamiliar face that had strolled into the kitchen. "Oh," they said, gaze sweeping over him once before the vague recollection of a text popped into their head. And they smirked. "You must be the priest."
The journal snapped shut with an earthy thump as Dani lowered it to their side, still leaning back against the counter as they sipped from the mug in their hand. "I hope you're not still reeling too badly at the size of this place. We actually had someone pass out once. That was delightful." A little raise of their eyebrows preceded a muted snicker at the memory, but there were far more present wonders to attend to. Tilting their head a tad, the blue-haired stranger asked him, "What am I meant to call you, padre? Assuming, of course, you prefer a name to anonymous titles."
