"The very next day, in biology class, I found the way . . . That's it! I'll be aggressive!" (Boy Meets Girl 8, 1951). Stella takes the "birds and the bees" analogy to heart, and becomes aggressive in her romantic pursuit of Mitch. Surprisingly for a romance comic, this doesn't backfire and Stella isn't branded a desperate, man-hungry predator. Possibly it's approved because of the "scientific" basis of her decision, but still unusual for the time.
