Holes in Education II Ikusaba and Fukawa
Prompt to the English class that she had directly asked about Mukuro Ikusaba sat towards the back of the class. She assumed that many students would begin pouring in. The room was nowhere near full but there were a number of others whom decided to attend, she noted that both her sister and Naegi were not in attendance.
The topic was on comprehension with the of a novel dependent on skill level. The school apparently tailored the required work roughly to each individual. It seemed there was few complaints, especially as a girl with twin pigtails was given a book titled in latin.
Instead she received a book called ‘Holes’ which very quickly disappointed her on how it was not about the art of building trenches or any other hole she had frequently created in others. From what Ikusaba understood from a brief overview there was a boy named Stanley Ylnates whom was framed and sent into child slavery for a women with a grudge on a wanted criminal. The boy had a friend whom had never known any education and try and escape the situation only to come back.
All and all it was a preety despairing story; one which Ikusaba thought Junko would like.
Having no idea about the questions meaning however Junko vowed to get assistance from someone in class. Using the book’s message to attempt the most difficult challenge rather than take the easy way out she slowly shifted between tabled until she was next to the genius in class.
“Hey so, I’m having problems with a question here and well, you’re the smartest one here so I thought like you might help me?” It was a forgettable effort in forming a cohesive sentence but Mukuro was happy enough that she didn't she had not stuttered over a single word.
