blorbo (favorite character, character I think about the most): tbh?? ruby redfort is the most like. “i think about character relationships more than individual characters” series for me but in terms of sheer rent taken up in my brain i’d Probably say ruby?? she’s a very compelling main character and i have so many thoughts and feelings about her character arc. second to her is hitch. and then clancy. and then blacker. and then bradley baker. actually all of them. i cannot decide oh no

scrunkly (my “baby”, character that gives me cuteness aggression, character that is So Shaped): okay. hear me out. she is not Baby. but she is Very Shaped. del lasco. she is pointy and feisty and definitely a lesbian?? funky little basketball lady who exists in my head as a bemulleted seventies tomboy like. she’s perfect. honorable mention goes to red monroe though she Is a very shaped character in the way this ask intends

scrimblo bimblo (underrated/underappreciated fave): agent kekoa! she only shows up A Little but the vibes she gives off are truly impeccable. like this woman did so much from her hospital bed she could match ruby’s sass And! she’s hot. hope this helps (second place goes to sam colt. cowboy)

having. having thoughts about a post-bayd fic that basically forms an imaginary seventh novel because like. pretty sure the count is still out there. i could easily justify lorelei still being on the warpath. new villains would arise to fill the power vacuum casey morgan left. i actually need hitch to demonstrate some vulnerability. older ruby and co. past hitch/lb/baker (i don’t know if there’s Any demand for that but I Like It so). current Budding hitch/miles/blacker. maybe a Bit of del/ruby if i feel like it. more explorations of the fact that no one in ruby’s friend group can possibly be cisgender heterosexual. ruby actually gets comeuppance for stealing from hal so many times (because i think it would be funny). thoughts, thoughts, many thoughts

obsessed with characters who are at once two separate people separated by time. myfanwy thomas before and after her amnesia. bradley baker and mo loveday. they’re the same person in that they have the same dna, the same fast twist muscles hardwired to respond to the same stimuli, but they’re also total strangers who will never fully know each other. bradley would never know mo, myfanwy would never know who woke up inside her head. but they care about each other! and they’re the same person! but they’re not! holy shit it’s like being possessed by your own ghost.

ruby redfort blink and you die spoilers ahead

absolutely Obsessed with the narrative dynamic where ruby and baker cannot exist at the same time as each other. baker “dies” before ruby is born, ruby comes to fill his spot, baker reemerges after ruby pulls him out of his metaphorical grave, and three weeks later he’s dying in her arms to save her. she gave him life and he gave his for her in return!! like what the fuck!!! they can’t live with each other and they can’t live without!!!! the two brightest stars in spectrum simply Cannot Exist simultaneously!!!!! honestly though the thing that gets me the worst is ruby resurrecting baker not Once but Twice, like she discovers him in little mountain side And pulls him out of his icy grave and he in return Created her—no need for a ruby redfort in spectrum when you’ve got a bradley baker—and saved her from marnie and lorelei and her worst fear of being buried alive. their entire relationship depends on unwitting transactions and i am hmrmnhghnghgr gnashing my teeth this is so good
