Long ago, in an age before the child of God was born, Eve was the first mortal to taste the flesh of a god.

Lived in a time of famine—not of belief, but of bread, Eve was a young preacher in a starving village. Every day, they would pray and cry for the gods to bless them, but the gods gave no reply. When the last child died of hunger while praying, Eve desperately went into a ruined temple to beg the gods to end their suffering. There, she found a god—a dying one, to be exact. It was a lonely, forgotten god. She tried to give comfort, but the god asked her to finish him. In a terrible moment of pity and gnawing hunger, she tasted the divine flesh. She tasted its sweetness, and in a second, it was gone. She ate and ate, but she was insatiable.
