Rorec 92% Aloe Vera Moisturizing Gel: Everything You Need to Know
Since Aloe Vera gels have been a trend these past few months by beauty gurus, skin care experts and beauty vloggers, reviewing it have caught the eyes of many, including me. So here is my "lid to bottom review" of the 92% Aloe Vera Moisturizing Gel (Rorec brand)
Usually, reviewers start with the packaging of the product. I have always believed that first impressions last so if a packaging has that "wow-factor", you will definitely rise up against other brands that sell the same product. So here is my opinion about the packaging of the said moisturizing gel:
• it is covered by a plastic cellophane that secures it from spilling.
• imprinted on the lid is it's brand name which is the "Rorec" together with Chinese characters.
• also put on it is the grams of the product which is 220 and it's aloe vera gel essence content is quite noticeable, too, at 92%.
• found also on the lid is it's claim that it can control oil on your face, being a solar pump and being a solar water purifier.
• there is nothing much on the side part of its tub except for some numbers on it, as one group of numbers that reads as "2022.07.08" I assume to be it's expiry date which I think is a must for every product to have.
• the bottom part was scribbled by Chinese characters all over except for a few lines that are in English.
• the barcode is there and the product number.
After viewing its packaging and scrutinizing it, I must say it has a generic look to it. Quite very simple which I oddly like because I am more of a minimalist kind of person but I did not really understood the Chinese inscriptions on it and that is what I did not like.
My rating for its packaging: 4 stars out of 5.
Now, let us see the product's quality inside because above all, you paid not really for the packaging but the product inside that could make changes to your face (or skin!)
So, without further a do, here is my review for the aloe vera gel's quality:
• I was quite surprised about the product's consistency, it was quite watery than I expected. I have used other brands of Aloe Vera Gels in the past and all of them were quite viscous and sticky but this specific brand gives us a watery gel but one thing I like is that it dries up quickly on the face than the ones I have used in the past. If there is one thing I am living for, this is it: drying up quicker than the other gels I have used.
• as other gels, this one is also transparent.
• this aloe vera gel by Rorec is soft to the touch considering it is quite watery and is also smooth when applied onto the fingertips, palms and face which is what I am living for.
• One thing I am really disgusted of is it's smell. I do not know if it is normal but it smells like plastic or with alcohol which I find quite odd because it has a strong odor compared to the last aloe vera gel I used of a different brand.
• it is quickly absorbed by the skin which I really, really like and it does not feel so sticky when applied on the skin.
• I have been using this product for a week and a half now but I have seen only a minimal change on my face. For example, it claims to be oil controlling and prevents acne but I still have acne here and there from time to time and my skin is a little bit less oily than it was but still visibly oily.
My rating for the product's quality: 3 stars out of 5.
Lastly, I think it is also important to note if the product is quite available and affordable at the same time so here is my detailed review of its availability and cost:
• I still haven't seen any Rorec Soothing Gel on any drug stores or mall, I have bought this from Shopee but I also saw this on Lazada. One thing to note is that not all people have access to these shopping platforms, the company should consider displaying on physical shelves of malls and drug stores.
• this product was very, very affordable. I only bought this for 79 pesos (excluding shopping fee). So little amount for a 220 gram product!
My rating for the availability and affordability: 4 stars out of 5.
The Rorec Aloe Vera 92% Soothing Gel is quite minimalistic in its packaging which is a plus for most of the people but it's product quality is not so impressive in my experience, but still, afterall, what do we expect of a below 100 product?
If you'd ask me if it is authentic, well, I think so because the shop where I bought it is under Shopee Mall and I have read that every store included in Shopee Mall is guaranteed authentic or original.
So, overall, I am going to give this product a 3.6 out of 5 which I think is already a decent score.
Do I recommend it? Well, not really, but if you are in it for a minimalistic packaging and an average quality product online, then this is for you!
I hope this helps you while deciding to whether or not consider trying this product! Thank you!
