Freddie had pulled together a costume at the last minute, and hoped that the fangs would be enough to make it apparent that she was a vampire. This year, she just hadn’t had the energy to do anything more elaborate, as much as she wanted to. The main reason she’d even come was that it gave her a legitimate reason to see Rory; she’d been a little worried after their encounter in the hospital so this was a welcome excuse to check in. Spotting the submissive, she excused herself from her conversation and moved to join her, grinning. “Well, don’t you look like a treat.”
