Marley, babe, I’ll tell you like I told Riley. You really don’t have to say anything. People are assholes and they’re trying to get under my skin. Saying anything is just going to put that target on you that I’m trying really hard to keep off you. 

I know you’re a good person and want to look after your friends but please believe me when I say that I’m not worth you defending. Grace is in the best place she can be right now and that’s all I care about. Not whatever asshole decided to pop off and say some shit he doesn’t mean. It’s not worth upsetting you over, I promise.

MARLEY: I’m staying with Blaine for the next little bit so I’ll have to postpone the little baking date with Grace. I hope she doesn’t mind, but right now my friend just needs me.

RORY: Don't worry about G, she'll be fine.

RORY: Things are going to be tense for a while. I think it’s just best if I keep a little distance. I don’t want to give anyone any reason to think to target you in any way. It’s good that you’re with Blaine - though I’ll take it up with you another time about not telling me sooner. Just keep yourself safe, Marley. I can’t have anything happen to you.

MARLEY: Distance? Are you sure? I feel like things like that seldom end well. Plus, I’m already linked to more than one Serpent, if people are going to target, they’re going to target. Living in fear is never a way to go. I can’t stop you from putting distance between us if that’s what you so insist, I’d just really rather not. I have a lot of people looking out for me, Ror. And if you makes you feel better, I didn’t even tell my sister before he made that post.

RORY: I just don't want the people I care about to get hurt because of me. If someone wanted to get at me, they know that we talk. They know that I help out at Pop's. They know you watch my daughter. I know you have a lot of signs pointing at you but I don't want to be one more of them. I don't know what's going to happen with this war that seems to be brewing but I'm sure Derek will use me for a lot of stuff, and as long as he can do that, people will want revenge on me. I don't want them taking it out on you.
