How I imagine Eve's characters would spend Christmas
Authors note: Now that Christmas starting to be over, here is my take on how different Eve characters would spend it. Remember, that this is just my view, but feel free to leave your own thoughts in the comments. Happy new years everybody ✨
Farah Dowling:
• Farah is a very minimal person. She would celebrate it with Saul and Ben, getting all together, but nothing special or over the top. It would be a private evening for the group to hang out and enjoy one free evening without work.
• Saul makes the eggnog, and Farah would have one too many and spend the rest of the evening munching on chocolate.
• Decorations? Nah, not a sight of them in her office, it's a place of work. However, she would set up little decorations at the entrance. Maybe a wreath on the door.
• Instead of gifts, she would make goody bags. Maybe a selection of tea and homemade fudge. She would put her assistant on the card duty, the woman is too busy for arts and crafts.
• Every student would get two weeks off for Christmas. She'd arrange a dinner on Christmas Eve for those who don't a family to go to.
• Overall, Farah isn't a very festive person, but she'd make an excpection for her friends. And then go right back to work after the mandatory celebration is over.
Juliet Lonsdale:
• She would throw a Christmas party. Have you seen her house?
• However, don't excpect to see her doing any of the work. She has staff for that. Juliet would have a drink on the couch and watch it all come together on it's own, avoiding the unnecessary stress.
• What she does do however, is decorating the tree with her kids on Christmas Eve. Real tree, not one of those cheap plastic one's.
• She's all about traditions. Including church, dinner, gifts and quality time with her family and friends.
• Her kids would get useful and practical gifts. Like money for their savings account, electronics, winter shoes, trip to a skiing resort or school bags.
• Christmas for her is about getting together. Family time and chance to bond. Christmas day would be spent watching movies, playing games, or going to the town to see Christmas lights.
• In return, Juliet just asks to see her kids happy and smiling, knowing that she can give them a moment to cherish later.
• Apart from what everyone else might think, Juliet would donate money for the more unfortunate families, to feel like she's doing right for the money she was blessed with.
Eleanor O'Hara:
• Before having a child, Eleanor doesn't celebrate Christmas for sake of the spirit or religion. She celebrates it simply because it's an excuse to get herself a whole new wardrobe. And also to get wasted.
• Eleanor would walk into a dinner that was prepared for her, without having to bother.
• She would send gifts for Jackie's kids. Either a gift card for a clothing store or an overpriced toy set.
• Eleanor cannot stand any kind of Christmas music. After Arthur, she makes a chance for that department. But before that happens, you will not catch a single ornament in her apartment.
• Christmas for her is just another day. She doesn't care for company of anyone and will stay at home drinking and watching a bad rom-com. Maybe have a chocolate or two if she's feeling like it.
Rhaenys Targaryen:
• Honestly I'm not even sure if they celebrate Christmas, but if they did Rhaenys would do it for the kids only.
• This a little bit difficult and I'm just improvising this based on her personality, not facts.
• There would be some decorations, but nothing too extravagant. Rhaenys would force Corlys to buy her grandchildren gifts that she listed, then send him off for the duty.
• They would eat dinner together, and then settle around a fireplace to open the presents. Simple and easy. Rhaenys would be drinking wine the whole time, standing on the side hoping to go to bed early.
• Rhaenys doesn't have anything against Christmas, she just doesn't care.
Rosaline Ward:
• It depends if it's before or after the events of her mothers's death. Let's say it's after, then she'd most likely spend it alone with Jacob.
• Rosaline would call her sister on Christmas Eve, and hear what her nieces thought of the gifts she sent.
• She would likely celebrate Christmas with a nice stroll outside, paired with a hot cocoa afterwards. Maybe some cuddles on the couch, watching a classic Christmas movie Jacob insisted she watched with him.
• Christmas for her is about slowing down and enjoying the quietness. Not being stressed about work or rushing around like headless chickens doing all the stuff at once. Rosaline just wants to enjoy the peace of not being pressured to do any of the festive nonesense.
