It's difficult not to notice the muttering of the person nearby, and if it weren't for him not being super into what he was reading, he would probably just ignore it. But, he's not, and he can only catch bits and pieces of what it is she's saying exactly; criticisms of a work aren't normally mused aloud — or, at least, not like this. Not directed towards any one audience but to themselves. He folds his arms, mulling over whether or not he wants to say anything ( would she even notice? He knows how he is when he's like this. )
Ultimately, he's never been one to mind his own business.
"Didn't really think anyone took that kind of stuff seriously with the kind of content you're reading," whether it's enough to get her to listen to him or not, he continues, "that’s manga, right?"

Cotes was said to be renown for its catering the otaku culture, but how she had somehow ended up in a shop full of books with nothing but the genre when she'd been looking for actual reading material is a mystery. She's far too tired and frustrated with the lack of navigation ( she hadn't thought to buy a map ) and the unhelpfulness of the residents who had lived here long before any of its current inhabitants that had arrived, but that's neither here nor there. Maybe it would be worth the trip, indulging in something that she'd never thought would interest her, that's exactly what she tells herself as she slowly peers up to look at the aisles, carefully labeled for each and every genre they had to offer.
'Shoujo' is the aisle that manages to catch her attention. It was never something that interested her, but maybe this was the time to try new things. So, she steps into the aisle, noticing only one other person--a girl--sitting down on the floor, a book in her hands that has her complete attention. Rin takes care to not disturb her and looks away as she tries to find something worthwhile. Thankfully, it doesn't take long and she flips open to a random page, anything to make it seem like she's actually taken an interest but it is much to her surprise that she managed to have flipped right to a particularly intimate scene. It doesn't please her, it's actually embarrassing.
The look on her face must be something, eyebrows furrowed and a clearly displeased look on her face. With a sigh, she quickly shuts the book. "Honestly..." She starts to speak up, finally turning her full attention to the girl seated on the floor of the aisle. "You’d think there would be a bit more lead up to romance with most of these, at least.”

❝ It’s just a dumb generator; it’s not like it ACTUALLY knows you. ❞
“Well... I guess you’re right in the end. It’s not real, so it shouldn’t matter!”
Haha.

Least favorite thing about them: She can be needlessly harsh at times,
while the dance party has been a BLAST, like every other person, chixie needs some time to get away from all the flashing lights and boisterous people... on TWITTER. she’s so relieved to have gotten back internet access. she’ll take as much time with it as she can get.
at her lone fire pit, she notices someone has sat by her. perhaps they didn’t notice her presence, given how easily she blends into the rest of the scene. but upon further observation, it seems chixie DIDN’T NOTICE something as well...
CHIXIE: oh hello CHIXIE: it’s you again
