“Hi Mumma, so much has happened since we last came to see you; Daddy got a job, we’re staying in a little apartment, I started school with other kids.”

“Oh! And Grandpa is finally locked up, Daddy stood up to him! You’d be super proud of him. I wish I remembered you better, Daddy promised to dig out some videos of you and me when I was little so I don’t forget.”

“What do you wanna say Daddy?”

“Hmm? Oh... um....”

“Guess that... I’m doing my best for me and Hannah, that you can rest easy. Hannah is doing very well in school, even made some friends. I know its been four years but I hope you don’t worry about us. Debbie said she’d come see you later today, she’s doing very well herself.”

“... Do you think she can hear us?”

“I’m sure she can. Anything else you want to tell your Mum?”

“I think I’m good, and you promised me an ice cream after! Chocolate please!!”

“Alright alright, if there’s anything else you think of later though we’ll come back.”
