Worm is super intense, it's like horror genre, so much horror

I’ve about 15% in, I should have already known it’s horror genre...

I just got to the part where Skitter tries to leave the group after finding that Coil abducted probability girl, and then the evacuation sirens go off. Dude, he’s done a fantastic job teasing what the Endbringers are all about, because I have no idea what’s happening but I’m already terrified of them.

it's been voted the Worst Star Trek Episode of All Time, repeatedly!

As well it should be!! Less flippantly, though, it’s mostly not all that terrible. The plot is oddly reactionary and makes no sense, but this is Star Trek and that’s hardly disqualifying. If you squint, there’s even a reasonably compelling deconstruction of Tom Paris’s fake Kirk/space jock persona. The problem is the implied Paris/Janeway lizard sex (I can’t believe I just typed that where people can see), which is of course more than sufficient.

What hemisphere is your character in, or does spring happen all over the world at the same time?

Hemispheres matter.  Most people, including my character, live in the northern hemisphere; it’s a new year when the northern hemisphere spring starts.

The title Epidemic of the Mannequins is actually a reference to a song by Stone Sour, called Through Glass. It’s a great song, and I highly recommend it!

The lyrics are actually what this story was built on, so make of that what you will ;) Whether or not there are actual mannequins in the story remains to be seen!
