Inspired by a little conversation we had @roseviolet-tf2 and I on @askwrathreview ‘s Discord. Basically, we both don’t understand the hype around Super Smash Bros games and so we, I quote, “shall be two standing while getting beaten up by the ssb fans, as the fierce and proud warriors we are *fist on the chest*”

I don't really know if it is a triggering subject buuuut.. How would the mercs would react if their s/o would suffer from severe anxiety?

How would the mercs react if they would working at a desk on important stuff or something, then their s/o would suddenly hug them from behind while whining "looove meeee" in a cute way?

Spy - He’d smirk and reach one hand back to stroke your hair. “As soon as I finish this you will have my undivided attention, mon amour.” He’d kiss your cheek occasionally while he works, but he’s not budging about having to finish what he’s working on first. 

Sniper - He’ll laugh and say, “I’ll give you attention if you do this for me, yeah?” He makes the point that what he’s doing needs to get done one way or another, but he promises he’ll spend plenty of time with you as soon as he’s done. 

Medic - He was so involved in his work that he jumps when you first show up. He laughs as soon as he realizes who it is, but he’ll explain that he’s working on something far too important to stop now. He will happily invite you to keep him company while he works; he’ll let you sit on his lap or help him with his experiments and he’ll sneak kisses while he goes.

Scout - He’ll chuckle and say, “I do love you!” He doesn’t do much desk work, and the little that he has he struggles with because of his trouble reading, so it isn’t hard to pull his attention away. You’d have to be careful that what he was working on wasn’t something he needed to get done soon, because if you distract him he will completely forget to do it.

Pyro - Heart eyes. Their work is immediately forgotten, whatever it was there’s no way it’s as important as giving you attention. They’ll get up and go cuddle with you right away; cuddling is always priority. 

Soldier - Just like Pyro and Scout, he’ll immediately drop what he’s doing. He doesn’t have much work to do at a desk in the first place, and what he does have he’s either bored with or doesn’t understand. It’s a miracle he was working on it in the first place. 

Heavy - He wouldn’t even blink. He would simply say, “I am busy” and continue whatever he was doing. If you continued to whine and cling to him he may smile just a little, but he isn’t going to turn away from his work until he’s done. It’s like trying to move a mountain. 

Demo - His important work is usually building bombs so he’d freeze when you first wrapped your arms around him, careful not to bump anything. He’d chuckle and shake his head, saying, “You nearly blew us all to smithereens.” He gets the need for affection, though, so he’ll wrap up the bomb he’s working on (getting it to a less volatile state) before going to cuddle with you.

Engineer - He works all the time so he knows that he probably doesn’t give you as much attention as he should, but he still can’t bring himself to turn away from something important. He’d try to find a middle ground and say something like, “Why don’t you go take a long, hot bath, and I promise I’ll be finished with this by the time you’re done?”
