Are we still doing prompt fills or did I miss it? TELL ME I DIDN'T MISS IT. I miss when there wre more fun prompt fills and tag games on here. I think polls ate them.
ANYWAY so. I'd like to compliment myself on having calmly set up a meeting and very politely confronted a new manager at work who had just started and taken over part of a project I was working on, but was leaving me out of meetings. I don't particularly like confrontation but I think it went well and we'll be on good terms from now on. I hope.
PROMPT: would you be surprised if I requested MacGyver? How about any situation that pre-series Mac and Jack have to lie to Bozer about. Go wild. :D
def didn't miss it! i never really have a timeline on these things anyway lol. and good on you for bringing something up that needed to be said! confrontation isn't inherently bad but it's really hard to do, so that's amazing that you were able to get what you needed whilst being polite about it!
send me a prompt!
With an exaggerated wince, Bozer takes in the line of black stitches starting from the base knuckle of Mac's thumb that leads all of the way to the center of his palm. "This is why I told you to leave the cooking to me." Unhelpfully, Jack chimes in, "That's what I've been tryin' to tell him." "I think I've learned my lesson, thanks." Mac tugs the sleeve of his "borrowed" sweatshirt back over his wrists, wide cuffs giving plenty of berth to avoid irritating the wound. "'Cause, you know, when people offer to do something, the polite thing is to accept and not put yourself in a situation where, I don't know, you could get get a knife wound." Mac's scowl turns to a glare, directed pointedly at Jack. "I said I've learned my lesson." "Have you? 'Cause-" "Jack." Down at Phoenix med Mac was waiting for the lecture from Jack about bringing a bunch of scraps from the garbage into a knife fight, practically holding his breath for the lecture. He should've known that it was always Jack's plan to corner him in a place where he couldn't escape. Not from the location, no, but from the fact that Bozer's standing barely a foot away and shares Jack's concern, if not for a different reason. Losing a fight with an avocado and half of a militia is basically the same thing, right?
