Fans have been compiling Silent Hill’s many inspirations, references and homages since the games were released. But the internet has yet to put together a complete list with in-depth explanations for why each work was an inspiration to Team Silent.
Many of you have asked us to do just that, so we did! This is part A of a two part entry in The REAL Silent Hill Experience series. First, we’ll take a look at the written works that influenced the making of the first four games.
In part B (coming soon!) we'll be talking about movies, art and real life!

Before Silent Hills was officially announced, everyone freaked out about Kojima making a Silent Hill game. "Silent Hill confirmed," they all shouted from the rooftops!
Before it was officially cancelled, everyone freaked out about its cancellation. "Geronimo," they all shouted from the rooftops!

It's pretty clear that the reality of any situation is quickly overshadowed by its initial hype-storm. It's not like we expected him to raise the series from the dead, but in regards to the future of Kojima's Silent Hill is Twin Perfect really the only source of optimism?

As promised, here's the first half-video for our 3-day Christmas review festival! Fuzh proposed we do a Secret Santa, but not just any old Secret Santa... a truly terrible one... In this video, we explain what it's all about.
These nights will be neither silent nor holy as we delve into the worst Christmas has to offer.
DerFuzhwar’s lovely bride, Mrs. Fuzh, doesn’t play videogames and is so terrified of horror movies she can’t even watch The Walking Dead without having nightmares… So, who better to play a bunch of over-LP’d horror games for Halloween? We put her through some games we’re all sick of by now (but that she’s never heard of) and recorded her reactions for your entertainment (and ours).
Prepare to experience SCP-087 (by haversine), Slender, Five Nights at Freddy’s, and Dead Space 2 through the eyes of the last person in the world who would/should be playing them.
