I will forever be upset and disappointed that many of my favorite TV shows have been cancelled (Julie and the Phantoms, Rise of the Pink Ladies, A League of Their Own, I Am Not Oaky With This, Dead Boy Detectives), but I am grateful that none of them will be eaten up and butchered by a horrible finale that goes against everything the media stood for like Stranger Things and How to Train Your Dragon.

this show also takes place in a time where being queer was not safe (early-mid 50s), and yet this character comes out to a trusted loved one and is also met with unconditional support and care, and the show ends with a main character having a happy and fleshed out romance arc in addition to a personal arc of finding and accepting themselves

it’s the same scenario executed in almost the exact opposite manner. the stranger things writers could’ve done a better job, they just chose not to care about it the way it deserved.

2 years of Rise of the Pink Ladies. I rewatch the season all the time and I still love these songs. I miss this show and wish it would have been picked up by another network. It deserved so much better.
