Celine was brought up in her Uncle Theo’s manor, who volunteered to take her in when her grandparents were forcing her mother to give her up for adoption (due to her being underage and the father most likely being of ‘lesser blood’). The mother and daughter have had almost no interaction since she was a few months old and Celine doesn’t know her father.
She was raised mostly by house elves, spending her time with them in the gardens and the kitchen when she wasn’t being taught potions by her Uncle. Theo hoped she could at least contribute to her families business one day. Though, Celine has very little interest in potions making.
She does think about perusing a career around creating potions to protect plants from pests and diseases, more efficient than current magic or muggle pesticides.
She’s incredibly withdrawn, she’s not very adept at speaking to kids her age and she’s resentful of most of them. Most of the time, she prefers to stay in her own ball of misery and focus on whatever task shes put in front of herself, on days she does try to reach out she mostly make people uncomfortable.
The closest interaction she has with most of her house or class mates is having them be guinea pigs for new recipes she’s testing out.
