Sure!! I apologize for my long hiatus! I hope to get the real chapter out this week💜

“Have you ever thought about having kids?” Collins asked from beside you.

Your whole body went rigid. A loaded gun right at your chest.

She seemed to sense the tension immediately, “I’m sorry—that was really inappropriate of me.”

“No…no, um. I have. Thought about it. Why do you ask?”

She smiled, a sadness lingering behind it. You noticed the hand at her belly and your heart stuttered.

“Are you..?”

Her smile widened, “Yeah. I never thought it would happen for me. I thought I would wait until residency was over, but I didn’t want to keep waiting for what I wanted, y’know?” Her eyes moved back to the room you had just exited. “You’d be good at it, if that’s not highly unprofessional of me to say.”

Despite trying for a few weeks, it had all come to a screeching halt when you found out you weren’t ready. The decision to have a baby was not one you wanted to make lightly, or just because, and in the grand scheme of it all, you had only just started your career. It had brought the honeymoon phase to a screeching halt.

You blinked dumbly, looking back into the room with the sick little girl. “Maybe when the timing’s right.”

It was deflection at best. The real answer laid tangled in your heart. Fear.

You know in rough day Robby wife will have legal right to sign him into a 72 hour hold might be the best option for everyone

I've been thinking about Rough Day everytime someone mentions Langdon being married. I know people expected/hoped Langdon would be divorced but I love that his marriage could endure rehab. Maybe healing made him a better husband and father. He seems to be more patient and understanding this season. And maybe Robby doesn't know what to do with the evidence that misery is not strength.

I did expect a separation from Langdon and Abby, mostly since it seemed like they were on the rocks anyways. But I’m glad they didn’t!

Robby needs (and will have) his realization moment and I can’t wait. Suffering silently does not equal strength, and avoiding your problems does not make them go away.

I don’t usually like just throwing a pregnancy on a female character but what a plot twist for season 2 if she was having Robby baby she could just move on with her life and with the kid

Maybe I’ll have to write a sequel after all…

I hate to say but I would support a divorce for them if Robby is still pushing away his wife

With rough day how would they handle season 2 events

Well, it really depends on where they end up after season 1! And I can’t really give away spoilers lol

If it had initially started in season 2, I really do feel like they’d be tumbling quicker toward divorce. Robby is more snappy, being mean (see what he said to Mohan?? I’m fuming), and about to go on a 3-month sabbatical on a motorcycle (likely without much input from his wife). Add in their tensions already being high? Recipe for disaster.

I’ve had many thoughts about continuing Rough Day into season 2, but it all depends on how the season ends/what it reveals, and if I feel there would be any point to adding the reader for another hour-by-hour day. Maybe an alternate timeline, or continuation depending on the end of Rough Day. Let’s see!
