Autumn Daughtery, the Voice of Rowan Radio 89.7 WGLS-FM
Campus radio stations play an essential role in fostering talent, creating connections, and providing a platform for students to showcase their passion for music and broadcasting on air. One such station is Rowan Radio 89.7 WGLS-FM. Located in Glassboro, NJ, host and DJ, Autumn Daughtery, performs every Friday evening. For her equipment, she brings, her headphones, and microphone cover to add personality and be sanitary as required

Autumn is a senior at Rowan University and a Radio Television and Film major. She received an email from Rowan’s radio station about hosting the radio show and agreed almost instantly. “You know what? I think I wanna do that, It’s my calling”

Jessica Rodriguez, the friend of Autumn, describes her relation to Autumn: “ Autumn and I met our Sophomore year of college. We became roommates during our freshman year. We bonded through similar interests and qualities: our goofiness, our interest in media, Virgo signs, and more!”
In addition to radio, Autumn gained hands-on experience in television production, Acquiring knowledge of how effective communication. Some of the equipment that is utilized are the director’s chair, shot cutter, audio mixer, Teleprompter, and headphones to communicate with the crew while filming.
