What's up peeps!!! This Rumble was the first Rumble where they deviated from the 2 minutes between entrants to 1.5 minutes between entrants. I have to say that I never liked that. 2 minutes is enough to build enough drama between entrants. Be that as it may, it's great to see the old school Steiner Brothers before Scott Steiner became Big Poppa Pump. I love the heel Owen Hart. I'm glad the WWF went with the whole Hart vs Hart angle when they did. Classic drama there. And speaking about loving gimmicks. I LOVED the Big Daddy Cool Diesel gimmick. It's a case of one of the many wrestlers that WCW dropped the ball on (Diesel, HHH, Austin, Benoit, Guerrero...etc Etc etc.) Diesel was cleaning house, foreshadowing the force that he would become in the next year or so in the WWF. I see aspects of Diesel in this Rumble in how Brock Lesnar was booked in this year's Rumble matchup. I forgot the recently deceased Great Kabuki was in this Rumble with Tenryu. And in terms of bad gimmicks I just have two words for you: Bastion Booger. I always thought that Crush was under utilized. He really should have been the top heel in the WWF. I always liked Doink the Clown when it was Matt Bourne doing it. But they ruined the character with Dink the Clown. And damn I miss Bam Bam Bigelow. He was a beast!!! Mabel aka as how my wife says that big fat piece of $hit. She really didn't like Big Daddy V. I didn't care for him either way. She will still say that if she sees him on TV. But damn Men on a Mission was quite annoying. Sparky Plug...🤣🤣🤣 Fun fact, Hardcore Holly was the third wrestler I met after HHH and Chyna back in 1998. WAY BACK in 1998. I forgot that Marty Jannety was still around and the breakup of the Rockers was somewhat fresh. I love how Vince says Adam Bomb is going to win the Royal Rumble. 🤣🤣🤣 Like he didnt know the end result. Luger and Bret...I see what they wanted to do for Wrestlemania. But still, co-winners?
