Emerson was the only child of Todd and Christine Bainbridge and had a lot of pressure put on her from the time she was a child. Her father wanted his only child to shine and be a burning example of how good him and his wife were as a couple and parents. To the world, they were picturesque. But behind closed doors, Christine was never interested in her husband beyond producing a heir to the throne. Her first pregnancy was her only and she didn’t care if she didn’t give him his desired heir, she was never going through it again. Christine had no motherly intuition and despised the redheaded child. Todd never liked that Emerson was not the son they had been told she was and his frustration with his wife often was taken out on the girl, his pleasure coming from her pain. Emerson learned not to complain after her grandmother slapped her mouth when she told on them as a small child. She was told what happened in their home should stay there.
No matter how cold her family was, they pampered her and she was more than spoiled. She had a good attitude about it, making sure she didn’t act spoiled or anything other than a perfect child. Emerson didn’t need to give fodder to her parents to abuse her. She entertained guests at parties, playing her violin or giving charming stories about school or something she learned. She was always considered a gifted child and her parents exploited it to make others envious of them. She was everything a socialite was supposed to be, pretty, interesting enough to be charming and non threatening when it came to male authority. During her time at Choate Rosemary, she worked hard, graduating at the top of her class and head girl, something else for her parents to brag about.
Emerson played the role of the submissive and the more passive girl very well. When everyone she knew was fighting to be an alpha, she knew it was better to find her power elsewhere. Her power was not in being loud, it was being quiet and knowing exactly what moments she needed to cry and smile politely. Emotions were something she used often to get her way when things seemed to be turning against Emerson. Being one of the younger girls in society, she was receptive to the older women and their advice. Even if it was only on a surface level and to appease them, she was the pinnacle of someone attempting to soak up all the information about how to be the perfect wife, especially considering she would be betrothed. She already had a good idea in her head how her marriage was going to go, but there was no need to expose her hand yet or ever if she could always avoid it.

short bio ( you can post a longer bio later on if you wish ): There was something about Malik Abassi Zabini. it was like nothing the boy could do wrong as he was growing up. he was a dutiful son, protective big brother and everything he touched turned to gold. he had the best male figures in his life, both his namesakes active and available for advice whenever he needed it as well as his father. growing up in a supportive environment made him even more cocky than his father. he was an excellent athlete and class president all 4 years of his high school career. He entered college for business and found himself shining again. he got top grades, president of the student and captain again of the football team in college. Now he’s graduated and his father has recently died, making him King. Malik has always had the world at his fingertips. The oldest of twins, he always knew duty would fall on him. He partied hard, but worked even harder, making sure his twin toed the line enough. He slept with a lot of people, but was careful not to get too close or knock anyone up.
