Prince Harry Says His "Worst Fears Have Been Confirmed" Five Years After Leaving Royal Family
Amid his legal fight to reinstate government-funded police protection for himself and his family, Prince Harry believes the decision to strip him of security was a deliberate tactic aimed at pressuring him and Meghan Markle to return to their roles as full-time working royals.
On Wednesday, April 9, Harry left the London Royal Courts of Justice disheartened after attending two days of mostly private appeal hearings. As reported by The Telegraph and People, he stated that his “worst fears have been confirmed” by confidential evidence shared in court. “That’s really sad,” he added, reflecting on the legal revelations.
Harry and Meghan had initially proposed continuing royal duties while living abroad within the Commonwealth. “We were trying to create this happy house,” Harry shared, describing the plan they had presented to the late Queen Elizabeth before stepping back from royal life in 2020.
