Ok can someone who is good at Gryphonheart Items explain to me how to make an item?

All of the tutorials and forums I’ve found are at least three years old and are 0 help. I’ve tried to figure it out on my own, but I keep getting syntax errors.

Excellent WildStar Addons

While these are by no means the only good addons, these are very popular and are my own personal favorites. This list isn't in any particular order, though I did try to put the ones I consider "must haves" closer to the beginning. Click the name for a link to that addon on Curse.

Killroy - This is a must-have IMHO. Killroy's main claim to fame is deobfuscating cross faction chat (meaning you'll be able to read what people on the opposite faction are saying, instead of their text being garbled) but it also has some nice text formatting options, such as recoloring text to be more readable. It's very streamlined, once it's installed you probably won't really notice anything until you find yourself able to chat up that hot Draken chick that snuck into Thermock Hold. Assuming she has Killroy too, that is. Killroy is aimed at roleplayers, but its various features are handy for everyone. If everyone on Evindra used Killroy, I'd be very happy. You'll be able to read everything in /say, /yell, and /e, but people without Killroy will see your chat normally.

PDA - Generally considered a must in the RP community, though I haven't seen very many people actually use all of its features. PDA adds a nametag above the player showing their full name, RP status, and an optional title. Clicking the "RP" next to their name allows others to read your profile and optional history. Most people don't bother to fill out more than the name though (which defaults to your character's name, but can be changed to anything.) You can display your character's full name, age, gender, and a bio. You can even change the gender option, which is handy for Chua that are actually female and whose players know that other Chua should be able to tell, or people who didn't like one character model and rolled using the opposite gender but still want to play a specific gender. Note: If you use PDA and find yourself getting a lot of lag or disconnects, disable it until the 2.0 update. There's some kind of bug that affects some people that the creator is fixing in that update.

ItemPreviewImproved - I call this one a must for everyone, RPer or otherwise. This wonderful addon allows you to preview anything that has a preview in the game. Armor, weapons, and base-level FABkits can all be previewed, regardless of your character's class. RPers and clothes horses like it because they can see if that heavy armor will look cool on their Aurin without having to buy it first. Armor and weapons are previewed together instead of one at a time like the vanilla function, allowing you to check entire sets of armor before committing to buying or imprinting it. It also allows you to preview items on the Auction House, linked in chat, and quest rewards too. No setup required, much like Killroy it just does what it says on the tin without you having to do anything.

The Visitor - If you like Animal Crossing mode player housing, get this. Normally, getting to the home of someone you're not a neighbor of is virtually impossible. With The Visitor, all you need to do is type /visit to get a window in which you can type a player's name and be whooshed away to their house! You can bookmark places you especially like. You're restricted to your faction, and houses that are marked public, obviously.

Tap That - My dexterity is a bit impaired, so F spam has always been a big deal to me. Tap That allows you to have the addon perform certain interactions automatically. Type /tt for the menu. It can do F-spam, press and hold, metronome, and even the Simon puzzles. I usually have it set to F-spam only, though my short term memory is kind of wonky too so sometimes I have it do the Simon puzzles too. It does NOT do the CC breakers, note.

Zen Radar - The spiritual successor to the Radar addon that so many used in beta, Zen Radar is basically an updated Radar with some additional features. Its main use is pointing out where things like resource nodes are. Very handy for someone like me who can't trust just their eyes to spot them. (Let's face it, there's a lot of stuff to look at in this game!) It gives you a window that lists nearby items of interest, and clicking the name of one will give you a hint arrow pointing to it the way the quest tracker does.

NavMate - This is primarily a minimap addon. It has many features, but the main thing I've always used it for is making the minimap more useful by color coding mobs that I need for an active quest, and clearer labels for resource nodes.

Deadlock Extended / Steer - These two addons do basically the same thing, but in different ways, so try both and see which you prefer. Deadlock is not on Curse as far as I can see, but the above forum link is trustworthy. Back in the day, we had to get all our addons from the forum like this. ;) Deadlock was originally made by mateekay of Carbine, and when he was unable to continue making it Daorven stepped up and kept it going. Both Deadlock and Steer allow you to bind camera movement to the mouse with one key press, rather than having to hold the right mouse button down. Steer's claim to fame is it can automatically enter mouselook whenever you move, and it has a few other features as well. I favor Deadlock, as I've been using it since early Winter Beta, and I found Steer to not release the camera fast enough when I stopped moving (but that may be fixed now, I haven't tried it since it first came out). Some people like Deadlock, others prefer Steer, so try both!

JunkIt - What it sounds like. Adds a simple button to merchant windows that allow you to sell everything you designate as 'junk'. Defaults to everything with the "junk" label in-game, but you can set it to automatically sell pretty much anything.

Housing Decor Set Manager - I haven't played with this one myself yet, but I will be using it soon! This addon remembers where you've put decor on your housing plot, and allows you to put it back after something like a house upgrade or accidently clicking Send All to Crate. It was originally released just before the Great Beta Wipe, so it allowed people to record the houses they'd made throughout beta and remake them in live. Now it's handy for any other time your house might get reset, such as upgrading, changing the style, or rolling on a new server.

WhisperCatch - This simply puts the names of everyone that's /whispered to you in a window so you can tell who's talking to you, who you've replied to, and allows you to click their name to populate the chat bar with the reply string. Handy for avoiding mistypes and simply keeping track of who's talking. Lately it's been throwing an error at login for me, possibly a conflict with something else. It still works fine, however, and there's been an update that may have fixed that.

Jabbithole - This addon doesn't do anything you'll actually see. What it does is gather data on things like items and where you got them to add to the Jabbithole database, which is already a useful resource for figuring out where to go to find a specific item or mob but will be even better as more people contribute to it! Download the addon and let it run (you'll never notice it, it's completely in the background) and once a week or so, run the Jabbithole client program to upload the data. Easy, and contributes to the community!

BotZapper - We've all seen them, those creepy avatars of the devil himself, sliding around between harvesting nodes and not even caring when a prime wallops them. BotZapper can detect when a player is "teleporting" in this extremely obvious bot fashion, and if they do it enough the addon will tell you about it. If you agree that it's got a bot, the addon will catch their name and fill out the report form for you. The previous version could potentially throw false positives because of how fast you can move with the level 50 mount upgrade/Boom-Box mounts, and lagging also makes you appear to teleport, so make sure you don't allow it to report someone who just has a fast mount! Do Carbine and all of us a favor and report those bots that haven't gotten caught yet!
