((...Do you ever get the feeling that everyone’s sitting around admiring everyone else and completely afraid to talk to each other. But that is because part of that talking would have to be trying to come up with ideas for interaction and what keeps coming up, particularly with slightly AU muses, is just a mental “???”))
Pondering that GLaDOS muse again.
It'd mean an overhaul of Ask Snarky GLaDOS, and probably an URL change for that blog so I can shift it to an RP blog.
My problem is how to make her different from say idontfeelcorrupt's GLaDOS or the other ones out there. One of my thoughts is to put her in an AU where the Combine attack never happened and she has a healthy supply of human volunteer test subjects.
This would make her more emotionally savvy in dealing with humans, to some degree snarkier but probably not quite as mean because she's not as lonely, not as reluctant to deal with human anons, but also shorten her Bullshit Tolerance in regard to particular kinds of human stupidity. I'd be aiming to make her more of a Lawful Neutral who occasionally makes Good Decisions, as well as just keeps the world at arm's length - except where testing is concerned.
But how is that different enough to have an unique GLaDOS muse?
I don't want her changed so far off the canon norm that she's not GLaDOS anymore, but I also don't want her to be a 100% canon classic GLaDOS either. I rather she be an interpretation of her from my interpretation of the events at the end of Portal 2. (Caroline not entirely being deleted, her saving Chell to even the bargain that Chell save her, etc.)
Any thoughts, anyone?
I'm seriously craving more RP, and my GLaDOS muse seems to come out of my own snarky, sarcastic, fed-up-with-bullshit self as you've seen my tags sort of devolve into GLaDOS ramblings.
Also, noting that a lot of the participants at askagladosfangirl's RP seem to be getting more and more bogged down by life and classes, once again I'm considering shutting Fangirl down and shifting my RP focus to this newer, more compact RP blog.
There's also that Robot Lounge idea. Being GLaDOS in it would certainly give me a good hook to get that particular chatroom up and running as well.
Again.......anybody have any thoughts, suggestions, ideas?
Do rpers get punished for writing the type of stuff that we write because wow, i feel evil and just wow, I mean wow. I can't stop saying 'wow'. It's just wow. I...someone stop me. Or not. Either way, it's just really...wow. Ouch. Um, yeah, hehe, yeah.
