It was alien to be back in the safe house she built as a kid to hide away from everyone in. It had been ten years for her, but judging by the lack of dust and rot, it’d hardly been any time for this world. Well then, maybe people wouldn’t recognize her. Though, her face hadn’t changed much since her teen years, so maybe people would recognize her anyways.
She ran her hand over the wall. Her old life had been traded away, and now this was all that was left to her. That Guardian of Time who made the deal with her had been clear, she’d never see her home world or anyone from it ever again, and this one would be her home now. It didn’t feel like much of a loss to her, she was broke with no friends and had a horrible falling out with her family. At least here... She pulled open a trap door and crept into the hidden basement. Right here, on the shelf was still the box of gald she’d squirreled away. Here, she at least had money. Next to the box was a Wing Pack. Stacy grabbed it and took it outside. The Rheaird stored inside popped out and looked to be in working order.
“I have money, and I have a car.” She could get by with that much for now. Only one thing still weighed on her mind. Climbing aboard she headed off to Altamira. It had just be a stupid crush she had as a kid, and it wasn’t like Regal knew her, but maybe if she could catch a glimpse of him she’d know. This faulty heart of hers never could love others, not in a way beyond friendship or familial obligation, but would things with Regal be different?
Finally, after flying for awhile she reached the city. With the Rheaird packed up she wandered in. Everything was just as it was from her game. Sure it was her second time to this world but it still felt surreal. As she spaced out in front of the hotel she heard the doors whoosh open and barely stumbled back to avoid colliding with the man walking out.
“S-sorry!” Oh God, it’s him. Stacy lowered her head, holding her breath, as Regal stood in front of her.
