Scott felt dizzy from the blows he took to his face, but he forced himself to focus on the task at hand. Lives depended on making this work, including his own.
Whether he was in the right place at the right time or the wrong place at the wrong time, that remained to be seen.
He walked into the wrong room for a business meeting representing X-Con Security and instead, ironically enough, found himself face to face with six masked, gunned security breaches fully intent on causing some kind of trouble. He was subdued before he could do anything to stop them though.
Now he was locked in a sealed room in the basement that not even the Ant-Man could sneak out of, after receiving quite a beating for messing up the bad guys’ plans. His only hope was a very old, forgotten telephone line he was trying to electronically tap into to contact anyone on the outside who could help him and the innocents in the floors above him.
“C’mooooooon,” he pleaded quietly as he fumbled with the wires yet again, his words slurring a bit. “Work with me heeeeere. S’mbody answeeer.”
