The initial metallic groan from the heavy door caused the slumped figure to let out a growl. A flash of a gold pair of eyes from past hair that had not been brushed properly; to the extent Zelos would normally do anyway. He was a mess, the markings and occasional faint trace of a bruise added to his dishelved look.
Instead of his captors, he saw Isaac, the relief that Zelos felt was much more than his face could currently manage to show due to his. His eyes lit up and returned back to normal as he shifted around, but was then stopped by metallic rattling. The chains that wrapped around his shoulders stopped him from moving further, causing him to jolt to a stop as if he had temporarily forgotten. He glanced down at his shackled wrists before slouching with a graceless thud from his back hitting the wall. “How the hell did you get in here?” he assumed his captors were more than finished as he busied himself with trying to free the shackle around his neck.
“What didn’t they do? Once I’m outta here, I’m gonna teach these guys a lesson.” he glared at the chains holding him down, as if that would get them to whimper and release him at once. Right.
With the door open, Isaac slipped in, moving slowly when a pair of golden eyes glared at him.
“Shhh.” Isaac held a finger to his lips. “I’m here to get you out.” Though, the chains would take some work. If only his lock picking skills were on par with Uncle Lloyd or Aunty Sheena. Drawing near Isaac pulled out a pick and got to work, only saying “I have my ways.” Ways being Aeon and the portal he could make through space and time, though Isaac’s sneaking skills deserved some recognition too. But another time.
As he got closer the injuries Zelos sustained became apparent to Isaac. “What have they done to you?” Surely if Uncle Zelos could see his reflection right now he would be more than dismayed, though the man could probably guess at his appearance. Bruises like that did more than just look bad for the person sporting them.
“We can worry about that once you are out and better.” Isaac insisted, planning on keeping an eye on his uncle until he was fully recovered. “And when that time comes I intent to assist you in that.” No one did this to Isaac’s family and got away with it.
