Stumped to Stop - Taken by @rscottcampbell I found this stump while on a hike in the Salton Sea area. This is somewhat of a redux of an image I already posted. This treatment gives it more of the feel I had when shooting it. Surrounding me was the end of a 2 mile dirt track in a cul-de-sac with burnt bonfire remains. This stump was near the center. Rough. Smoke Break - taken by @rscottcampbell Sometimes I wonder if the locals, a community just behind the broken down furniture I find at shore's edge put the abandoned furniture there to sit and simply have a smoke or put their toes in the foamy surf. That's what when though my mind when taking this shot. In this shot I came upon the chairs just as they are and could just imagine two people sitting having a smoke and talking at sunrise or sunset. I also again used my jeep headlights to light the scene. Gilligan's Island - Photograph taken by @rscottcampbell This particular abandoned boat hull has become an icon for the Salton Sea. If you search Google it's one of the most common pictures that comes up. However, it's usually in such shadow from the surrounding trees that you can't make out the details or the sky is completely blown out. To solve this and some framing issues I shot this with a 17mm TSE lens, I was inches form the boat and it's a 7 exposure HDR image, allow us to get the sky and the details of the boat.
