The Good Ole Song and Dance || Niff
Jeff was super excited for today. He had organized the Warblers to meet early and go over the routine again before Nick got there. They didn’t actually need to do the routine the several extra times Jeff put them through it, but he wanted everything to be perfect, much to the annoyance of his friends. It was lucky they all cared about him enough to do this for him. Though, the Warblers were like brothers he still felt like he owed them a solid. Especially Trent who he also apologized to for throwing under the bus when he needed an excuse to get Nick here. But as the time ticked on, it got closer and closer to four and when Nick would get here. In fact, Nick would probably get there early just to make sure everyone else got there in time. Hence why Jeff was pacing around the practice room freaking out, even when he had next to no reason to be freaking out.
“Dude, can you stop that? You’re making me dizzy.” One of his friends had called out from one of the many plush couches they were lounging in.
“Right, sorry.” He replied, leaning against the back of the couch as he went over the game plan in his head one more time. It wasn’t exactly complicated, Nick walks in, they sing, he makes a romantic speech about prom and then Nick gladly agrees to go with him. It’s not like Nick was going to say no to going with him, at least he hoped not, especially not with this being the only chance they’d get. Dalton only had occasional mixers with Crawford, and it was lucky their friends had invited them to the big dance at their school. And while he was happy to have the big prom experience he never thought he’d get, he kind of forgot about all the stuff that came before it and how stressful that could be too.
“Is that him?” Jeff perked up and looked towards the door, before pushing himself off the couch and gathering all the guys. “Come on guys, look sharp. It’s time to do this.” He grinned, starting to feel the rush he always got right before a performance. Even if it was just a little show for an audience of one. Everyone got into place, including himself, and looked towards the door in anticipation, waiting for Nick to walk in.
