Hi there! My name is Anna, and this is my new studyblr. I have been following blogs from this community on a separate account for about a year now. I have created this blog to help keep me accountable throughout the rest of my studies in college.

A bit about me:

I am 22, 23 in April.

A junior in college, and a full-time student.

I am a Radio Television and Film major and have finished a minor in English. I have an associate of arts degree and am currently working on a second associate’s in business administration.

I’m a very big reader. I rival Rory Gilmore in my love of books.

I am a big nerd and am apart of quite a few fandoms. (Supernatural, DC, Marvel, Fairy Tail, Attack on Titan, Tokyo Ghoul, etc.)

“Pomp and Circumstance” kicked off the ceremony, but commencement concluded with “The Throne Room” from Star Wars.  I love being a Radio-TV-Film major.

“I'd Rather Die than Go Back to Texas”

Finishing off our week of “Filmmaker Spotlight”, I would like to present one my personal favorites out of Miss Reyes filmography, “I’d Rather Die than Go Back to Texas”. This film is about a young couple living in New York who, after realizing that they can’t keep up with the lifestyle, struggle to come to the solution that they inevitably have to return home to Texas. As I’ve mentioned before, this is a personal story that’s close to the filmmaker, but that’s not what makes it so great. What makes this film beautiful is how this tale rings true for a lot of frustrated youth; they try their best to fly away and face this cold world head on, knowing that a return to mother-bird’s nest is a sign of defeat. This inner conflict that exist inside a lot of people manifest itself into a visual form in this film, I encourage you all to watch it. Enjoy.
