I don't think either of these fit first bug rules, but the fact I was talking about finding my first bug of 2025 last night and then tuned in today to scorpy talking about first bug is such a fun coincidence I have to share:
Moth! Photos from 31 Dec 2024 but she stuck outside so she was the first 2025 bug I saw at about 12:10ish in the morning.
First (well actually second, I didn't take a photo of a fly) unique bug of 2025! Seen at around 3:30am though, so past first bug cutoff.
