I usually dont care for "lets maximize evil >:)" type relationships, and im sure if it happened it would have been wildly homophobic, but imagine... end of s4 it seems like ruby dies, but she only halfway does (none of the lore makes sense anyway so might as well.)
Shes fucking furious with sam and dean and lucifer and god for - respectively - killing her, killing her, not caring about her, and helping her murderers.
She finds anna somehow, who definitely hates sam and lucifer and kind of hates dean and (once shes heard the plan) god, and they try to kill the boyz together <3

Mid s4 cas was challenging his orders and considering their morality, and then he was reprogrammed or whatever
I like to think s3 ruby was doing the same thing, but then she died in the finale and came back more set on her mission than ever

to clarify i think ruby is one of, if not the, best villains in Show, and also a mega fun character
Tbh the first time i saw s4 i was rooting for her to be good/morally ambiguous the whole time and after she disappeared i was desperately hoping for a valid explanation.. but we never got one
upon rewatching i was amazed by her as a villain, great character, wish shed gotten more screentime, but she was hurting sam so badly
