The homies @babyraytattoos and @oglepke at @worldfamousspotlighttattoo back in the Late 90’s. A lot of good times at that shop at that time, I’d say pretty much only good times and good memories from then. My first book was gonna be called Ink, but that word got molested so bad so quick , I was like “chales fooo” waited 10 years and did @lawomanbook that took a couple years to sell out then did L.A. Portraits 2013 which is still being sold. Now 2018 coming with “This Is Los Angeles” a lil sum sum of all my shoots in L.A. could only put so much in it, which is cool cause if it goes good I can do more. For my 3 books I’ve used maybe 500 photos , I have around 500,000 shots on film, I’m figuring it all out. Meanwhile in Roma, Italy , it’s going down!!! @drago_publisher @kittesencula @paulo_von_vacano and the team are killin it on my new book “This Is Los Angeles “ it’s a little sample of all the different kinds of people, pLAces and things I’ve shot over the past 25 years in a Ruff Rugged and Raw style. Books are a lot of work and takes a while to do especially while you have the rest of your life to do. They definitely are a passion project. I have shot over 500,000 photos in my time , without usenig the spray and pray technique that I see so many people do nowadays . I think the best way to show it to the world is through a book , social media is cool but it’s different having a book in your hands and turn the pages and feeling the texture of the pages and seeing the pictures the arrest chose to show their work. Art shows are cool to but can only be seen in that one location for that short amount of time but a book is there forever.
