25. What do you look for in a beta?

someone who will check me for continuity and consistency errors, and point out where my grammar is bad or overly repetitive.  I also appreciate help with character voices!  But tbh I’ve gone most of my writing career without a beta, because I’m just not patient enough to wait for someone else to check my work before posting.  whoops!
