@rulesbent wants to dance with the wild god
As a boy he had made a game of resurrection had learned the limits of his power in the most brutal ways. Ampelos had become the vines that grew amongst his hair, had given him the horns that grew their too. Ino and Melicertes had come back strange, changed by the rebirth he had forced on them.
But they had all been practice for the two he wished to bring back now. And he would not have come for them if hadn’t wrestled a place from amongst the divine twelve, forcing their hand by making it impossible for them to ignore his cult’s popularity and influence. He had won these things so he could lay them at the feet of his wife and mother like prizes, proof of his worthiness for their love.
“I do not come for permission, uncle Hades,” Dionysos said with a wild-eyed calm. “I have come only to take what is mine. Is it not my right to do so?”
