Something that's Been Bugging Me.
Hello, I'm a Whovian AND I LIKE CLARA
So needless to say it's really bothering me that the show refuses to address the rumors that Jenna Colman will be leaving after the Christmas special this year. According to an interview Colman gave Radio Times:
“If you know I’m in the next series, or if you know I’m off, you’ll know how the story ends.” [You can the whole article below]

From a filmmaking stand point, I get it. They've been building up this big mystery all season and knowing Clara's fate could potentially detract from the suspense. However, from a fan stand point, it's really not fair to us. With the announcement of every new Doctor we knew the end was coming for the old one, like wise with their companions. We knew the Ponds were leaving a whole year before "The Angels Take Manhattan". We had time to prepare.
Last Christmas I was able to give my family direct orders not to disturb me while I was hunkered down in the basement rec room with a box of klenx and a tray of brownies. Saying good-bye to 11 was a serious emotional blow (that was the first time I watched a regeneration live as opposed to months after the fact on Netflix), and I can't even imagine how much more it would have hurt if they'd kept it a secret. If all of a sudden, without any warning, this character who'd I come to love so dearly just ceased to be.
Part of the reason I feel like they're doing this is that, if this is Clara's last season, it's pretty obvious where this is heading. The likely scenario being that eventually the Doctor is going to push her too far, or push her away, or both, and Clara is finally going to have had enough, for real this time. She going to move on with her life, a life that will probably be spent with Danny, maybe make some guest appearances down the line, but her relationship with the Doctor will never be the same. Honestly though, as much as the disintegration of their relationship is going to break my heart, I'd rather her live to hate him, than see her killed off.
I'm not asking for, nor expecting a happy ending for our Impossible Girl, but if this is really the end, i just want them to get it over with and tell us so we're ready when the time comes.
