Recently, we had to euthanize one of our old dogs that we've had for a long time, and other two have never been without her or each other for very long before. Our oldest dog and her were very closely bonded, and I think he's starting to realize she's gone. What can I do to support him through this? I'm spending as much time as I can with him and doing activities with him, but is there anything else I might be able to do?

Sorry for your loss <3 We don’t necessarily know how pets grieve, or how long. It sounds like you’re already doing what you can. Just keep him on his normal schedule and provide attention/exercise/enrichment to keep him busy. When my ferret lost his brother, his personality completely changed and he became much more subdued. Keeping him busy with clicker training and lots of play time seemed to really help him perk up. Obviously he’s not a dog, but I imagine it would help other animals too.
