Rupert Garcia, Decay Dance (1969)
From the lovely Dear America - Artists Explore the American Experience show at the National Gallery of Art in the occupied city of Washington, D.C.
Works on paper, including photographs, prints, and drawings, examine, inter alia, the country’s history and its treatment of individuals and communities. Kudos to the three curators who’ve assembled a show that looks—in as clear-eyed a manner as feasible in the current environment—at all the facets of America over the last 250 years.
