some facts about Aella:

still in the process of finishing up college, failed her first attempt and got suspended

works as a florist part-time to pay for tuition - used to work full-time during said suspension

v soft-spoken, also kind of a slow speaker

but will gush for hours on end about her favourite subjects - which are flowers, her studies in history of art, and bees

lives off-campus with two other roommates to afford rent

will never, ever accept hand- outs even during those times when she’s hardly scraping by - she’d be very insulted

has actually never been in a relationship, she has had fleeting crushes but never dared to attempt anything so signing up for the bachelor was v impulsive and brave for her

has been working on an art book since she was twelve, she considers it her baby n her life’s work, so she hopes to one day finish it and get it published

dresses quite conservatively because she’s not comfortable with form-fitting or show-y clothes

her parents divorced when her mother chose her career as a famous actress above her family so it came as a shock to many when she told them she was going to sign up for this

learned how to cook at an early age because her father wasn’t very involved after the divorce and was v absent, but never, ever ask her to bake if you value your life (and your kitchen)

Theory time again

so recently @lotusplum received an anonymous ask (thank god for whoever did that btw cuz i’m missing stuff) ask why everyone one else had a blue background but minjoo’s was black? the answer to that was:

Does this suggest that he wasn’t the Destruction he was made out to be? Maybe along the way, a battle had occurred causing him to be this way. Was he Protection before Destruction? And who and what was he protecting? The boys? or something else?

Another thing is this post on @rurusim page:

If i’m not mistaken, this is Jinseul’s background, and now Minjoo is in it. Is this what it was like before, hence why it was blue, or is this a clue to what will happen later? And does it hold a clue to what he was Protecting? Was Minjoo protecting Jinseul? If so from what? The destruction that had overcome him?

Now another thing i noticed is what was below the photo: morse code. so i translated it, and this is what i got:

Fake?Ideal

What was fake, or seen as fake? And why is it seen as Ideal? Is this linked to the two boys aforementioned? Was Minjoo putting this PERSONA (see what i did there?), this fake self, to fit Jinseul’s ideal view of him?

EDIT: I believe this is Minjoo’s old background, showing us his past self, his fake self, the self that was ideal for everyone, and his back is turned to him, possibly meaning he has no intent of becoming that person again.

backstory

mengyao is a quietly confident, ambitious young man with a lot going for him. he lives comfortably and has a satisfying career, and plenty of varied interests to keep his attention. on the surface, it seems perfect... but, he is a bit discontent emotionally. he’s been estranged from most of his family since he was away in college, coincidentally around the time he came out. times were difficult then, as he was abroad in britechester without the support he previously had, and he came very close to needing to drop out of school on several occasions. with the help of friends, hard work, and a previous tendency to save money, he made it by- but he still has tender, just barely healed over wounds from back then. his loss has made him long for some sort of family of his own, whether that consists of just good friends, a significant other or more. applying for the bachelor is a bit out of his comfort zone in some ways, but he feels he is grounded enough to keep his feelings in check no matter what happens.
