Russell has officially named his recurring AI-companion. Originally just a HUD program in his first suit, than a ship-board AI that could brain-link with him, now his suit's copilot. While brainstorming it with the rest of the Aspects, we were originally gonna name it Prometheus, but…

The armor itself is Stahstolz, his Steel Pride. However, his armor-AI that allows for it to function in tandem with himself when he's not in it has been named Mithra, after an ancient Iranian deity of oaths, justice, and contracts, among other surprisingly fitting things.

Heck, Mithra is a god of the Sun -AND- a Guardian of the Waters. If that doesn't line up beautifully with someone whose whole thing is Steam Power, I dunno what else would.

Taking questions about my characters!

Other than Elazul, that is, though if you wanna know more about the fatty catwolf, that’s an option still anyway. However, I am looking for folks curious about my other characters so that I can actually make critical thought about them, figure out more about their background and personality myself by answering the questions. Your primary options for this Q&A are:

Russell Traugott, the Steam Knight Mouse

Amaryllis Alraune, the Magical Plant Construct

Nicholas Oliver Xander, aka DJ N.O.X., the Vibro-Kinetic Musician Bat.

I have other characters, but these are the ones most prominent in my mind right now.

Though am concerned that Ryan has joined in on the "Dragon-mouse!" chanting, it's dangerous for all of us when he gets really into an idea.

About the Aspects! Weapons of Choice!

Elazul: Hammer. Probably because of one of the earlier friends he made on FurryMUCK, Mega/Aliasi

Nick: Baseball Bat/Club. Probably because he's a music-punk of sorts.

Russell: Lance. Jousting, baby!

Zeke: Kama, of all things. No clue why. Wielded in pairs.

Ryan hasn't picked out a weapon, don't know if he even will. He's more content copying others' weapons and techniques.

Still, Elaz, the sorta-sorcerer, running around with a fuck-huge hammer that he should not be physically able to carry, let alone swing, no matter his size at the time.

Everyone but Zeke has a secondary weapon of choice, too.

Elaz likes bo-staves, thanks to his family upbringing.

Nick definitely goes fists/brass knuckles/knuckledusters at times.

Russell's backup is a longblade of sorts, something between longsword and shortsword in length.

Russell's been drawing up upgrades to his steamknight armor and weapons, including putting the originally shield-housed rail-spike-cannon into the core of his lance, and having it be less a pressure cannon and more a railgun, using the power from the boiler-turbine for the electromagnets.

The idea is that the lance can be slammed into the tower shield to connect them together, the shield separating and repositioning into a tripod for the lance, the front half of the lance opening to expose the barrel and accelerators, the back half shifting to better vent the excess steam when firing.

I really wish I could get myself to draw again so I can better show off the idea.

Just realized something kinda funny…

Two of my Aspects/Headmates had their own headmates in TTRPGs I ran them in…

Nick had a possessed helmet that he could not remove that talked to him all the time.

Russell had (defective) shipboard AI that he linked up with to help solo-pilot his ship.

The one with Russell was partially inspired by a story

@smallergod wrote a while back, which involved space travel, companion AIs, and massive, rapid weight gain, hehehe.

Also just realized that another version of Russell started going mad by way of being "too sane" in reaction to reading an otherwise mind-breaking book... Which ended up allowing him to see "The Gears of Fate", which made me finding Vintage Story later that much more fun to me. >w>

… My brainspace has a forge in it. I don't remember Russell setting that up. RUSSELL doesn't remember setting it up. Ryan refuses to comment.

The deermouse is having his fun going over the tools, though, and promises to not try and make anything while I have a headache.
