I need to improve my handwriting so I found these worsheets, I think they are quiet thorough. I’m going to try them out, I have a hard time connecting the lettes and these one has texts to practice!
What does typical Russian handwriting look like? Is it just cursive? Or do people write in print like American write print? Or is different in some way that I am unaware of?
Well, both? Either? Depends on the person I suppose.
Russian schools still teach cursive as the main form of writing, from what I understand. I learned cursive in grade school. My grandmother writes in cursive and doesn’t use any other types of writing.
On the other hand, my grandfather used to frequently write in blocky, print-like letters. I found this easier to read, and I think it influenced my writing today (English and Russian.)
Russian cursive is very loopy, and there are a lot of repeated shapes. It’s by no means “unreadable” as many people on the internet love to claim. But I think that if you did not have adequate exposure to it, it probably looks quite hellish.
Here’s the actual alphabet - first capital letters and then lowercase.
Day 2/100 for @emmastudies 100 DOP. I’m also participating in @athenastudying’s October Study Challenge, too, so the Russian lyrics at the bottom correspond to that. But I rewrote my catalase/yeast enzyme lab for AP Bio, and I plan to start AP Stats notes (we got the book today, yay😑) and rewrite my Macbeth notes tomorrow because I have a day off of school b/c underclassmen take the PSAT.
07/02/17 Did some Russian handwriting and started watching Kill Me, Heal Me. (I have been traveling so much and couldn't get around studying :( )
