this weekend I was away at a swing dance retreat, and we had a fabulous instructor come up to sunshine valley, bc all the way from los angeles, rusty frank!
she taught us a lindy hop routine dance at a speed that I'd never done before (usually I've done lindy hop to much slower songs), called the jeep jockey jump, which we performed last night at the regular dance club to all the people who hadn't come to the retreat
after less than 5 hours' worth of teaching, rehearsal, and performance time, we had a decent (if not particularly refined) performance. this was our final rehearsal before heading home, and you can watch it, because I said so!

((I'm the one in the black t-shirt and teal shorts, doing the quite frankly awful shimmy at one point haha - don't judge, I move my hips much easier than my torso))
